a good french bread or sourdough |
olive oil |
salt |
pepper |

to make really good croutons take a good french bread or sourdough, |
remove most of the crust if desired; cube the bread and toss with a |
little olive oil, salt, and pepper. place on a baking sheet and bake at |
350f for 10 - 15 min, watching closely until browned and crisp. |
you can also add dried herbs, garlic sauteed in butter and then tossed |
with the bread, parmesan cheese. the choices are dictated only by your |
taste. |
