No-Fat Brownies
 
6 oz.  pitted dates
1/2 cup  cold water
1/2 cup  unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 cup  flour
6   egg whites
5 tsp  vanilla
1-1/4 cup  sugar
 
preheat oven to 375*f (190*c). grease 8-inch square baking dish and set 
aside. combine dates and water in blender and puree until smooth. mix dry 
ingredients in a bowl; set aside. combine egg whites, sugar and vanilla in 
another bowl; add date mixture and mix well. stir in flour mixture until 
just mixed. pour into prepared baking pan and bake for 15 to 20 minutes. 
 
makes 1 dozen bars.
